Is that for when I get drunk and spend the night in my car (oh wait, I don't do that anymore)

that says nothing about the seats with color inserts not getting heat... all pics of the SS interior are old/preproduction shots, so they don't show the seat heater switches... i think they will be heated except maybe the recaro seats... the LT DOES have heated seats...

The BOM (bill of materials) from GM Lordstown for L4 Coupe Ebony w/ colored insert dosen't call for us to add a heater pad (currently, but it's possible they can ask us to add it). We can easily add the heat option to the seats if GM modifies the vehicle. the heat pads are univesal and will fit all Cobalt seats. No one personaly has told me why the decision to not heat the SS/SC L4 seats. The theory is that heat is a luxury option vs. a sport option, but thats GM who knows?

Its stupid if GM thinks in that mind set (heated seats are luxury and not sport), because one who drives in sports cars are people too, and they also do not want thier ass to freeze over.

This has been an ongoing question for myself. Why dose the person that pays extra money for a performance car not get the possibilty of all of the options. I did notice though Chevy recently changed the description for the seats in the SS. This change (the add of the heated seats) went into effect about a month ago. Yet when you see pictures of all the reviews the switches for the seat heaters are not there and no mention of it, you would think Chevy would send the reviewers a car that will have all the options. I know if mine does not come with it I will be sending my seats out to get the heaters installed, leather in the winter here can cause frost bite on your azz.

Hay, I just looked at my order form and I calls for easy entry passenger seat, yet no heated seats????? But, talking to my dealer they are saying what you ordered may or maynot be what you get. They have been told by Chevy that all SS will come the same, no changes in any options, regardless of pre orders, partway through a production year.

I am not sure what is GM's problem, this car is more like the UFO that crashed at Roswell than a new car introduction......

Ya it will have LSD std, but only with the comp pkg, and only with recaro's non-heated, but with grey inserts, but maybe heated, but maybe the LSD will be std without the performance pkg......get what I mean

^^I Imagine that they are like the ones in my alero, when you pull the release for the seatback, it disengages the lock on the track and the whole seat slides forward to allow people to climb in back more easily......

Yes, I'd imagine that without the easy entry seats you'd have to lean the seat forward, and then reach under the seat for the adjuster to slide the seat forward instead of having one easy step.

typically that has to do with the seat base, so if one has it they all can have it, as long as the seat can mount to the base.....

i just got my reply back from chevy faq dot com... i asked about the heated seats and the performance package... they told me the SS would have heated seats, but not the supercharged... Y? who knows... and they knew nothing about a limited slip differential for the car, but did say that my dealer would have the info first, if anything changes... yeah right... oh well...

Spoke to the dealer again on the performance package. They confirmed that there is no RPO code in their system for this option. They are going to ask the regional sale guy about this option and see if/when it's avalible and if it's too late to add to my order. I will let you know what I find out.
