Pipe Bender

I know there are a lot of engineers on here. I am looking to buy a pipe bender and I don't have a lot of money. I was wondering if you guys know if this pipe bender (16 Ton Hydraulic Pipe Bender) would suit my needs of fabricating exhausts and charge piping until I got enough money to get a real good one. I am not really all that sure about this because I am just starting out in fabricating. Thank you.

I used one that looked exactly like that in Autoshop class back in highschool except ours had a pretty much 90Degree piece with it to.. if that matters...., we didn't make any exhaust stuff, but we did make a really nice Roll cage for an Ice racer, it was really simple to use actually.

This seems to be legitimate, I don't really foresee the need to bend piping larger than 3" for exhausts. It looks like it would do the job and reliable based on its simplicity.

i own this same pipe bender and it SUCKS for exhaust. its great for roll cages but unless you have alot of sand to pack the exhaust befor bending it, it isnt gonna be pretty.

I was planning on making bent pieces. Then with each bend needed I would weld the bend on the pipe. For example, my header had the bend already so all I needed was a straight pipe until basically at the axle. So really all that needed to be done was weld about five bends together depending on how you look at it. So this way I could really pack it full of sand. I wasn't looking for an amazing bend. I also don't think I would need to do anything above 2 3/4" but I don't know lol. I figured 3" would be good though. Thanks for your input.
