okay I’m not the best at this but is it a possibility that the one that’s cut will give the tranny the hold it need’s but allow it to flex a bit so it would minimize the vibration one would get.

I think that the bigger one is for the front mount but I have yet to see a black one.

The motor mount looks totally different. Those are trany mounts. I am going to take back what I said earlier and say that the big one goes in the back by the exhaust on the passenger side.

Here is what the engine mount should look like. My friend did this how-to.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-install-turbo-tech-racing-poly-engine-mount-49773/

He also has installed the trans mounts so if you have any questions he would be a good guy to ask.

The engine mount on the passenger side is, but the two tranny mounts are round and should both be like the red one pictured. Call TTR and get a new one sent!

they are both exactly the same size.

since you got them from 2 different companies, they're 2 different designs. the only thing that really looks bigger on the black ones is the lip. that could be good, maybe that lip helps hold it in place. there's more much when you connect the mount, so maybe that big lip takes up the extra space? and is it actually cut in half all the way? if so, i bet it's to make it easier to install.

you know. you guys are probably right. im thinking its cut in half so you can install each half on each side by easily pressing it in with out having to cut the lip!
