Is power shifting bad?
A friend to mine told me that power shifting is bad for the clutch is that true? Cause my fastest times are from power shifting. and i dont want to let that go lol

. As well, there is really no other way to pass a car quickly on the highway without power shifting. Sure you could double clutch and then hit it but that still takes more time than just power shifting the car.I felt a bizarre crunch the other day when I power shifted from 4th down to 3rd (had a damn car right in my trunk so rev matching wasn't an option) the other day but I'm assuming it was the springs coming in contact because I dumped it pretty hard (either that or it could have been the clutch pedal spring itself). I wouldn't worry about it too much a car is meant to be driven and when you're racing you're not going to get a quicker shift than power shifting

Multiple T-45 & 3650 Tremec's have met there match when being power shifted in Mustangs.

I could be wrong since this is my first standard but I did enough research before I bought one to get a good handle on what I should and shouldn't be doing to my car
