i have 12000-14200 to spend on a car. ive already had a 06 ss/sc and did some upgrades to it. but after driving a slightly modded gto and modded mach 1 mustang the ole ss seems pretty pathetic. Anyone have any ideas on a nice car to build?

yah looking at your price range you could build a hell of a B series honda, or a nice ls1 trans am, seen them in high 12's stock so im sure you could break 11's on a budget

 

gmc syclone or typhoon. 11s are really easy with a few mods. hard part is finding them.

Well, if you're going to do that just go sell your Cobalt and buy a new 5.0 coyote. They're pretty sweet.

Ooops I meant b16B hatch, gutted,built,midsize(not big turbo) will be badass and fast as **** and will be in the 11's and you will lot's money left. One day that what im going to build. I have an lsvtech hatch turboed that I bought for 3500 and it mobbs the **** out on people.

a 12.9 is pretty quick..its not even supercharged yet. also 4.10 gears and drag radials i would hit 11's. fast IMO. i bought it btw.

 

You mean with the supercharger, tires, and 4.10 gears you could run 11's?

imo 12.9 with na power is nasty. it pretty much eats most cobalts in real racing (not roll racing) already. throw a blower on there like any body can do that has cash and no cobalt will touch it unless its twin charged...

wrong. but oh well. and no 12.9 is not fast for a modded rwd v8. that is still slow. congrats on the purchase.
