Could someone give me some info about preordering a 2009 Cobalt? Mainly wondering how much of a downpayment or expense I'd have to give to the dealer at the time of ordering? And, when you'd take care of more of the monthly payment details, at the time of ordering, or at the time of the actual arrival? Any other information, or links to in-depth guides would be appreciated.

the 09 ss/tc wont be to much of a price difference, my 08 ss/tc when i ordered it was 24k (i dunno why i got that price) but anyway, they asked me 1000k down to hold the car till it comes in, which means its basically mine. you most likely will put down 1000k for the car upon ordering so that they know you want it. the 09 wont change in price that much.

for monthly payments, well, i recommend you get a loan from a bank instead. my bank gave me a loan for 24k and i noly have to pay 5-6% interest, where my dealer would have charged me monthly plus 7-8% interest.


basically, get a quote from your bank on interest rate, if they give you lower rate then get a loan and buy the car from chevy all at once and just pay the bank back monthly, that is the best way to go for right now
