price to power ratio for boost..??

Hey guys,

Keeping price in mind, what is the better way to go boost on our cars? If you want to spend 1,500 bucks, is it better to go M62 s/c with basic mods or Saab 9-3 turbo package with basic mods? They both seem to cost about the same, and power is likely similar too. Not just price and power, but also install difficulty. The s/c seems basically straightforward utilizing many Cobalt parts. The Saab set up uses similar parts, but not all the same. Mine is a 2.4, but this would also benefit 2.2 guys.. Help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Me personally, I would do the supercharger because of it being all cobalt parts that we know all fit, with little modification. I don't know about the Saab 9-3 stuff.

well i just sold my full kit for 1600, so if you're on that budged sc would be best i think.
install difficulty i give it a 6/10
its all bolt on, no lines to run, oil or coolant.
usually some grinding away might be needed if some parts don't fit perfect but nothing a little dremel won't help with.
