probably a really stupid question but...

i was looking at pictures of someone's new t/c and i noticed his boost gauge was sitting right at zero
when my car is on and im stopped at a red light or not in motion...mine's always below zero
is that normal? not used to cars like this so sorry if this is a dumb question

More specifically, when the car is off but the key has been turned to the ON position it zeroes out the guage.

Until you give the FI enough power to push more air into the throttle, you are always pulling a vacuum. What you don't want to see is when it is still pulling a vacuum when you are flooring it. I looked as a used LT1 camaro once that had a SC and that thing was beyond dead. Also had a warning on the window about there being no warranty on the car-thats probably why. Hehe.
