sorta ubernoob question

do the ecotecs have egr's?i see a spot where one could be maybe on the cavys.if not then why.you would think they would have them since the reburn a portion of your exhaust and actually cool down cyl. temps.
any thoughts?

I'm not totally sure but I dont think they do, I think they have an internal air pump setup, but I could be 100% wrong on that. I know alot about GM's but i'm new to Ecotecs.

Pretty good explanation of what EGR is for. If I remember correctly some Ecotec engines have EGR and some do not. I'm not sure which years though...
