Question Probably silly questions...

Two of my friends have cars, one has an 07 Mazda 3speed sedan auto and the other has an 07 Civic Si manual.
Would an 07 2.4 SS be able to take these or what would be the outcome of a race ? Are they similar in HP and performance or are they way different?
I have done research and havent been able to turn up much.
Thanks.

As far as I'm aware of, a Si is slightly faster than a stock SS. You may have to have a few things like CAI and exhaust and you might be ok with the Si. The speed3/6 I think will beat you though. Don't quote me on that thought.

no, manuals are better i wish i had a manual there much more fun. The Si will not smoke you trust me. Go from a roll and get at a good spot for your car, around 40mph. Then you should stick with him even though he will beat you. I have just a Intake performance wise and I stayed within a car of one.

the only thing with the manual is less HP loss at the torque converter. other than that it shifts faster than a human can. so its pretty much opion on and a couple of HP.

this is completely wrong an auto 2.4 will run 16's. a good driver in a base model with a manual tranny will beat a stock 2.4 ss. it's not opinion, look up track times. yea, it may shift faster, but the 4 speed really kills the car. there's more to acceleration than hp.

They put down less whp.

Untuned they take 18 years and a day to shift.

The Auto is rated 'stronger'

Fully built drag cars(track only, sub 9 sec monsters) are all auto or clutchless 3 speed dog boxes. Autos do have an advantage while dragging come launch when they can torque launch.

Manual transmission cars do not have torque converters
