Question Problem with headlights alignment? Too far up?

Hello, today I replaced my broke passenger headlight with cracks that was getting water inside. Finally the car looks normal! But I've noticed when it got dark that my driver's side is slightly more "powerful" or at least it looks like it has a little more light output.

One of the lights is using a Sylvania bulb and the other a Phillips bulb, I tried switching them up and the driver's side still has more light output whether one bulb or the other, then when I got inside the car I realized that the light on drivers side aim's slighty above the passenger side one.

How can I "lower" the beam? I don't wanna be one of those douchebags that blinds people on the road lol

there should be screws on the top of the head lights, that you can access with the hood open. they will let you adjust the vertical and horizontal aim of them. i dont remember what color or what they exactly look like on a cobalt but someone will probably have a pic

I have the old headlights out, took a pic just now. Is it that black one that needs an alien key?

Yea that screw on top of the black will move it vertical. Just park Ur car near a wall or garage door to align to the passenger side

Alright thanks! I just tried to do so... but unfortunately dropped the alien key by the headlight. It seemed to work, I managed to do about 2 full round spins and then lost the key lol I'll look for it tomorrow and try to adjust it better.

That would be it. I would first make sure you have the headlight "seated" in its place properly. Hard to tell from your pic, but it looks like one has more of a gap on the bottom than the other.

Yeah it does, somehow one of the headlights "clicks" before I screw it on (passenger side). On the other side, the headlight does not click before the screws, it just gets tight but not like the left side. I replaced the black frame for other I had but that didn't solve the issue. I checked the headlights underneath and the one that clicks (passenger side) has a broken tab, and the one that doesn't click has both tabs. The black frame where the headlights go are both in good condition. Worked around the headlight on the drivers side for 30 mins but it still didn't click. Decided to give up and screw it tight in place. Even though they both sit basically the same, the gap is too small to notice but it is there.
