i picked my cobalt ss s/c last monday and well i got a problem my check engine light came on today and idk wat it could b from did anyone else have that and maybe b some like stupid reason y it came on or is it b/c i like kinda pushed the car at like 4000 rpm and then shifted?

 

no lol i was hard on mine the day i bought it... it was fine

 

so it should b some really stupid like thing that it jsut went off for no reason

 

did you check your gas cap? try tightening it

 

lol Shifting at 4000 isn't a big deal even if it is pick up day. Contact the dealership and they'll probably have you bring it in.. Or go to autozone and they'll check it for free.

 

what is it boosting at? mine did that the first week I had it. It was a blocked Cat. Converter. take it to the dealer.

u might b right bout the gas cap b/c i did put gas in it yesterday and the light came on yesterday so maybe ill check later and ill take it to the dealer just incase and the supercharger is pushin normal 12 psi

Like I would like bring it to like the dealer b/c the dealer like has to fix it.

 

if its the gas tank, then after your tighten it wait about 50 miles ( i think thts what the manual says im not sure) if it doesnt go of then the go to the dealership

nah the light went off now.. i went home and tightened the gas cap and drove it for a lil and the light jsut went off while i was drivin so im happy thnx guys

 

my check engine light came on and I took it to the dealer and I had a bad evap solenoid.
