Lightbulb Problems with new CCFL Headlights

I just installed my new CCFL headlights and am having problems with the Outter Rings (the projector rings). the inside rings light up fine but the outter ones are real dim and eventually start to brighten up but then start to flicker. the driver side seemed to do it when u shook the inverter box so i think it may be a loose wire, but on both headlights? anybody else ever have this problem? both rings are going to the same power source.

I would say either bad inverter (not surprising) or a bad ground.

Yup loose connection somewhere. best thing to do is take the connections out and redo them on the flickering ones... BEST thing to do rather than try to trouble shoot where, unless you sorta know where you might have had the problem at... did you do a toggle switch or off the running lights?

When it's really cold out, the outer rings on my CCFL headlights don't come on until I start the car. I just assumed with was the nature of the CCFL having to "warm up."
