On a similiar note, I removed the front plate from my car when I changed bumpers (from the black plastic bumper to the painted one- on my 98 Cavalier). I ran out of time to put the plate frame on and headed to work. I was about 6 miles from my house when a trooper going the other way blows it around behind me, almost wrecking four cars to do it, just to pull me over for no front plate.
I gave him hell when he came up to my car. The conversation started out, "Where the **** is your brain, trooper?"
it went downhill from there, but at least I didn't get a ticket :P

the bike cops keep messing with you because they are probably doing just traffic enforcement team (TET).. This is where officers come in for overtime and just do traffic, and they usually do ride motorcycles, depending on the department.
In Toronto, I haven't been pulled over even once and I've had the car for a year now. I've had cops on every side of me and even rolled the window down once and asked them for directions!!!!!!!!! Not even interested in me I guess!!!!!!!!
