not the ss/sc, hes just talking about the ss. so he means the sport coupe or whatever they are calling it,

 

the 08 SS/SC doesnt exsist and wont.

there will be a sport which is the 2.4L. No more supercharged. I was at the dealer and we confirmed this cause i was looking into one for my fiance

 

GM should have had some ***** and supercharged the 2.4L for 08 then switched to the turbo in 09

 

its just going to be 171 hp instead of the 173

 

09 ss's will have a ls7...

Id know my 2nd step dads great aunt was a know-it-all...so trust me on this one.

 

when i called the dealer about getting a 2.0 they said they're very hard to locate because they're not being made anymore, so they're not getting any more in. i was told they would hvae to locate one at another dealer because they are not being ordered anymore.

right because switching between 3 different motors in 3 years would be a make perfect sense for a company losing money

 

And i bet dodge makes shitloads amount of money on the SRT8 models too right? Do it for the consumers.

 

uh hello you are talking about a vehicle they uses all of the same motors the rest of there lineup is already using, and in the same setup. RWD-V10, RWD Hemi and so on. what other car uses the LSJ setup? what other car uses a 2.4 SC? what other FWD car uses teh LSJ/TC? thank you sir, R&D can be very costly

 

GM is looking to stream line their line up, if there is an ss/sc replacement, i would bet on the Solstice gxp/ Sky redline powerplant.

I just got back from car craft in minnesota, and they have a 2.0 turbo engine that they are putting in the 2009 ss.

 

There is no 2008 Cobalt SS... of any type... 2.4's are renamed "Sport"
