Question about An0malous' catch can mod

Ss I bought the parts this weekend, they were fairly cheap from Canadian Tire.
I was wondering if the vacuum in the hose would open the manual drain in the bottom of the can, or if siliconing the rubber cap on would prevent it if it did become a problem.
I don't wanna start throwing codes if I'm getting a vacuum leak.
Oh I also managed to get some 1/4 MIP x 3/8 barbs, these should fit very snugly, I'm going to teflon tape them in.

Nope, you should be fine. Just put some water in it first to make sure the valve works properly. I had to fix mine because it dripped out and wouldn't shut. Works great on my turbo'd integra.
