did you need to make a new thread to ask that ..a pm or asking a question in the guide would have been sufficient

I have found power shifting to be difficult in this car.

I apologize if I didnt post this correctly im sort of a newb when it comes to forums. I just thought I would ask because he has such a good time and in my decision of buying an SS I wanted to know if the LSD is really worth it. I can see now that it really doesnt.

The LSD is nice if you plan on doing time attack trials and things of that nature. AUTOX also. But mainly for str8 line racing and normal street driving you will notice no difference. I drove the g85 and hammerred it. Guess what wheel spin. I drove my car and hammerred it. Same wheel spin. It does bite better around the twisties though. Save yourself the $1500.

The G85 is good for recaros and pulling through turns. The Limited Slip won't help you much in a straight line. FYI I don't have the G85 yet both my wheels spin. I have also left two tire marks when I did my only peel out.

Nope, no G85 package. I sure wish I had it though, it'll help in the long run...plus I've always wanted to get my foot in the door with auto-cross..and LSD is pretty much a necessity in that area.

Just a lot of track time under my belt, at least 50 times last year...however, only one of which was in the Cobalt lol. The rest was in my previous car. My times weren't very consistant in the SS/SC, but I'll change that soon enough...plus w/ the motor mount I think it's possible to cut at least a 14 flat, maybe even a 13.99!
