Quick Boost Gauge Question

So the other day, I went to change the oil on my 06 SS/SC. I turned the car off just like I do every other time, and the boost gauge was at -20. Changed the filter, put the new oil in, and all that, then started up the car to build oil pressure and what not. Turned it back off about 20 seconds later, and noticed that the boost gauge was at 0. That is the only time that I have seen it at 0 when the car was not on. Any ideas? Thanks.

When you turn the car off you are in vacuum, if you turn the key to the on position it goes to zero. It is normal

Could be a one time glitch if it is not doing it anymore. If not check to see if you knocked anything loose near the filter......

Yeah, that was the only time that it has done that, and it hasn't done it at all since. Maybe I knocked the boost gauge sensor deal when I was taking the filter out or something, but I checked everything before I closed the hood, and everything was fine. Guess it was just a one time thing.

Correct. It is because it is electronic, not mechanical, so you turn your car off and it stays where it was (vaccum), but if you turn it to Accessory and give it power, it will go to "0" which is the real reading, then if you turn it to off again, it will remain at "0".
