Quick HHR SS question.

I know that the Cobalts and HHR's can use the same aftermarket sway bars, but im not sure of the size of the stock HHR SS rear sway bar. Would the Progress rear sway bar make a difference on the HHR SS? Its 22mm........im not sure what mm the stock HHR SS one is. Also, I know my 19"s would fit an HHR SS bolt pattern and size wise, but would the +38 offset be correct on one? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think the SS has a swaybar like progress or turbo tech. It's inside the rear beam like Cobalts. I don't know what the offset is on the SS, na is 42mm, so I assume it's the same.

I have a Progress rear sway bar on my '07 2.4SS. Unless the HHR SS's suspension layout is drastically different than the 2.2/2.4 LS/LT HHRs, then im assuming the Progress bar should fit the HHR SS no problem. I could be wrong though....im just wondering more about the HHR SS's overall suspension layout.

The suspension layout is the same as far as I know, just slightly different springs and shocks.

Yes, the most popular choice has been the Turbo Tech Racing Rear 1.0" (25.4 MM) on chevyhhr.net

Check it out there are a lot of reviews on it
