Quick SS battery question

Quick SS battery question

Does the SS have the battery under hood or in the trunk like the IRL?

yeah thats funny i never noticed it was in the back till I got rear-ended and i saw a liquid dripping from the back... i thought to myself i dont remember having a water gallon or anything in the trunk and then i lifted the spare tire cover and saw the battery dripping acid...got smashed

well i didn't find out tell i was istalling my system and couldn't find the dang thing and after i had bought 17 feet of 0 gauge wire that was $2.50 a foot and then i found it and only ended up using 3 feet :-( LOL i was pissed at the time no i just look back and laugh about it :P

that is common now, most chryslers are like that, watched a guy try and jump his wifes jeep with a 300, had to show him how b/c the batt is in the trunk

Most if not all cars that have there batteries in the trunk,also have posts under the hood
so you can jump start them.It must suck if you dont have them under your hood,and you have alot of **** in your trunk,lol.

That is one smart thing GM did. I was very impressed with how my friends ss/sc is setup in the trunk like it. Specially with the fuses under the hood with a positive terminal right by.

yeah, on top of the fuse box under the hood there is a rep plastic cap, remove the cap and under neath is the positive and the negative is located on the driver side strut tower

yeah, and wheni was putting my strut bar on, i dropped my rachet and it connected the batt post to my strut bar and melted it
biggest flash of light i ever saw
