is there any low priced good detectors or does quality go hand and hand with the price you pay?

 

I don't know about the rest of detectors but i have the valentine v1 and i think it works great. its pricey though.

 

i heard valentine escort and belle are the best. someone said the redline is the best

Expect to spend 300$+ for a decent one. ANything lower really is a waste. Also no matter what detector you get..once it beaps your already on radar..i dont care if you say its saved you SOO MANY TIMES..you just been lucky with lazy cops haha

 

Unless you're catching a reflected signal, which is the case fairly often where I am.

EX: Cop is at the bottom of a hill, you are on the other side, before you get close to the peak of said hill your radar picks up a reflected signal off another vehicle or building or what have you.

 

its not like i drive above the speed limit "all the time" im just looking for something that will give me a extra eyes when spotting cops, radar, etc. more so for awareness. if i was to go 1509090 miles an hour even if i had an escort i wouldnt rely on that to save me.

 

valentien 1 or excort 9500xi are the only legit window mount ones. if your a baller get a k40 or if your a super baller and can find out get the scorpien.

anything cheaper then like 300 is garbage. cobras throw false ka bands all the time. belle is the same as escort too.
