I love this car so dont read me the wrong way. I love the drivetrain, I love the interior with the Recaro seats and the booming pioneer system. My vent is about the poor electrical wiring design and schematics. So I drove my car in a down poor for the first time and and my car suffered from the high input mass air error code and almost put me on the side of the road due to the car wanting to die. No big deal, problem fixed. I reset the computer to get rid of error codes, get on the interstate this morning and try to set the cruise, and it would not set, I got a flash in the information center like the cruise was going to engage but it never did. I get online to get some information and it ranges anywhere from the switch above the clutch, to the brake light switch, to the third brake light etc etc etc. I know it has an electric TB so I am at the mercy of the computer, but for good grief could the person that designed the cruise control made it less complicated to diagnose and fix such a minor problem??? I owned my 02 cavalier for over 13 years and put 200,000 miles on it, granted it had a cable TB, but never had an issue out of the cruise control! Owned my 97 camaro SS since 1997, its been through 2 rebuilds and I even caught the engine on fire, the cruise control still worked!!! Anyways thats my rant, I had to vent.
