Raptor Shift Light install

Sorry guys I rushed to install this so i did not take any pictures but it was very easy. The light comes with a mounting bracket so you can mount it almost anywhere. The cables are black red and green. Black is the ground red is the switched power and green is the tach monitor. I grounded the light underneath the dask to the grounding point. Then I ran a the power into the fuse box inside the car on the passengers side by the floor vent. Tapped into a switched 12v source and had my power and ground. Then ran the green cable through the firewall, there is already a rubber gromet by the steering wheel to run the cable in. Then i tapped into the black and white ground, which was on the connector that ran to the spark plugs. I have heard you can use the green as well. After that you configure the shift light using the controls on top for your rpms and you cylinder. You want to run it at 1 cylinder since you are only gettin the ground from one of the cylinders. Kit i bought was 110 because i wanted blue LEDs to match my blue neons. Regular colors like red green and yellow run 85 dollars. A lot cheaper and neater then running a tachometer or even an autometer shift light. The actual light is only about the diameter of a pen. I will post pictures either this weekend or tomorrow of the install and how the light works.

Raptor Shift Light install

I also just installed the raptor shift light. Easy to install. I removed the
left "A" pillar trim panel, ran the wires down through the gap there, power and ground at the fuse block in the center console. Then I ran the green wire out to the brown/white
wire at the #1 coil IC 1 control circuit.
works great. No more hitting the rev limiter accidently. Had to play with the adjustments
to get the light to come on just before actual limit.

It is right near the cover for the spark plugs. On my SS which i know maybe different there is a metal cover over the plugs. there are two harnesses that clip together and all i did was connect to the black and white cable. if you look in the sleeve you will see a pink, greeen, black and there will also be a vacum line in there. connect to the pink or the black or the green. i was sick all weekend so i will take pics today or tomorrow.

I have some pics but do not know how to put them on here.

Oh BTW, i got the power and ground right at the boost guage (12v at the pink wire,
ground at the black). Only had to run 1 wire out under the hood.
Works perfectly so all i have to do know it watch the road and when it hits
6300 rpm the light flashes red and its time to shift. You can see it great in the sun
and lights up the whole car at night! (looks pretty cool).

Clean install. I LOVE IT! Definately have to get me one of those. I also like your placement of it too. Right by the boost guage. That's definately where I'd put mine too.

Thumbs up

Took some trial and error but works awesome! I used a neg. fuel injector lead (brown w/ yellow stripe) for my Green trigger wire signal. Pink(+) and Black(-) from the boost gauge for my Shift Light Power.
