Raspy exhaust quick question

I bought a full 3inch longtube headers/downpipe/catback from zzp last month, and have loved it. Sound is amazing at cruise and idle, but is rasping at WOT.
Is it always going to rasp because it's 3 inch or is it because its cold here now?

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

You need a cat if you don't have one already and a resonator.

My ottp longtube gave me rasp with the hahn exhaust. Bigger resonator didn't help, put a borla XR-1 ,uffler on it and it cut some of the rasp

I have this setup (sans the borla muffler).... It sounds terrible. I'm swapping the header out for something smaller. If that doesn't cure it I'll be selling the Hahn setup for a 2.5 exhaust. I oversized with plans to go to a TVS but I'm going to stick with the M62 so no need to be so loud.

Even if its cold, it should only be raspy on a cold start but it should warm up and sound normal once its idled for a minute or two. That's crazy its still raspy considering you have a cat and resonator though

remove the resonator and put a magnaflow muffler there, the long cylinder shaped ones.

I only have rasp on wot. Don't know how you got rasp on cold start up. The problem is the faster flow that the longtubes have. Maybe a longer resonator or a better quality resonator. the Hahn setup is great with a similar to stock setup. Probably a shorty header and a 3 inch downpipe would work

That is exactly what I am going to. I liked the Hahn sound/volume with the stock setup.

Stainless Works Turbo Chambered muffler = no rasp at WOT

2.5" ID CENTER INLET/ 2.5" OD OFFSET OUTLET 5"X9"

(also available in 3" and in polished too)

Make sure you're using it with an 18" Magnaflow resonator if you're not using your stock one!

ADD ON RESONATOR OPTION - 18 INCH MODEL
