Rear Seat Delete

Does anyone besides performance weeks make one for our cars or is everyone's custom delete? Thinking of doing this.

Also hide a plate. What are people using for a hide a plate / relocator?

This is the first time I've heard of anyone doing a rear seat delete in a cobalt. I mean, what's the point? It's not a hatchback..

I used to use hide a plate. Just mounted it by drilling a few holes into the bottom of the front lip and used the supplied hardware. Be careful around parking curbs and driveways though, i lost two hideaplates that way then gave up and now just run no plate lol

spare doesn't even clear brembos so who cares? and yes I know you have to put it on the rear and move the rear to the front. pain in the ass.

Balt isn't my daily driver and I would like to clean up the back/ trunk area, jazz it up with my subs and cleaner look. No use to me. And give less rides to people in my car just cause the seats weight 23 lbs, doesn't mean the people that a ride in the back seat of balt weigh 23 lbs. cause we call know people are amazed on how the car drives and under estimate it lol

Thanks rice for addressing this question. What brand did you go with? I currently have one screw holding in my plate in the front on one of the holes from the bracket, win. Cause I don't want to drill another hole Lol and I might just go plate less and take my chances, how bad can the fine be right? Lol

When you blow a front tire you are supposed to take the one from the rear, install it on the front, and run the spare on the back...

Unless you do it right like Sythe Snake did, rear seat deletes in Cobalts look awkward- so much empty space back there. Plus if you've ever driven with the back seats folded down, you get a lot more road noise coming into the cabin from the trunk into the car. The rear seats help mute some of that.

You made a whole post just to restate what I said? I'm just saying it's stupid. Other cars have spares that clear the brakes.

If you have a cage or a harness bar, back seat is useless. i pulled mine. If i wanted the car to still look nice, Id be picking up the Werks kit. but racecar. lol.

as for plate, i bought a mount from Password JDM that comes off the bumper bar in the middle grill. really nicely made. Just haad to use some spacers to make it work on the cobalt. http://passwordjdm.com/PasswordJDM-U...P9715C329.aspx

I've been pulled over in the same town about 5 times for no front plate, 2 within the last month and i keep getting "one of these days one of the other not nice dudes is gonna get you for this" - but nobody writes the ticket.

that looks a little excessive lmao i would just grab some steel or w.e from lowes and make something similar ... mine is mounted on the lip between the fog light and lower grill opening. I want to move mine up to where the stock one used to be with a mount like you have.

Any pics of yours ?

It was well made, and made locally in Long Beach, so props to that. Just had to spacer it down and out for the bumper. and 2 screws, i can pop it off in a hurry if i need to at the track. Prolly could havge made something, but work destroys my freetime lately, lol.

Sorry its in my garage and glare is a bitch, lol. There will be photos soon of the car once some parts arrive, hah
