Rear Window Defogger

Hi, this may seem like a stupid question, but here goes.

Whenever i start my car via the command start, the rear window heater thing automatically turns on. Is there a way to make it so it doesn't turn on when command started?

It's just because when i start it, it melts the snow, which turns into water, which turns into ice the next morning. lol

Thanks

Before I turn the engine "off" to remove the key, I set the rear defroster "off" or "on" and "preset" the defrost/heat, fan, and temp controls. As you can also preset for A/C, it seems whatever it was last set to is what it will command start with..... or atleast thats how my 2007 SS seems to work.

Yeah I do that too. Turn the heat on and the fan to like 3 and what not.

But even if the rear defroster is off before i shut the car off, it will still turn on with command start.

I actually think it's a great idea they programmed it that way

but I don't have it (remote start) as mine is a stick.
