bug and tar remover helps to let it sit, then heat it with a hair dryer (or heat gun) use some fishing line to cut the glue from the back, and then the goo gone wil work wonders with just a touch of heat.

nah, just dont let it sit on there for like hours. I used turtle wax bug and tar remover and let that sit on the glue for 10 minutes, wiped it clean, heated it up and most of the glue peeled right off. once you get that all off the goo gone and a rag should take off the remaining bits. I bought meguiars quick detailer and cleaned it up once I was all done. and you would never know there was a badge there. Just make sure you use fishing line... it wont leave any scratches and works like a charm a 1 1/2 foot piece of 20lbs test should work just fine

check out the thread on removing exterior trim.... there is a how-to video by a couple of sti guys that debaged like 3 cars in 20 minutes that i posted up. good luck.

WD-40..... The stuff works great! Spray it on the glue, wait a few minutes, wipes right off! May need to wipe again to get any remaining WD-40 off.

Use 3m Wax and Adhesive remover.. it's all I ever use... and it's so good I showed it to my buddy at my local customs shop and now he uses it over what he was using, and the stuff he was using cost 2x as much! This stuff is about 7 bucks/can and it has a blue lid with the typical blue plaid design 3m likes to use.

Yes, there was a need for the first comment. This is a forum, type like a normal person and be legible, or don't type at all. Not meaning to be an ass or anything, just telling it how it is.

There's a huge difference between typing and talking. Talk how you want, but type like an adult or no one will take you seriously. It's not discrimination, it's just annoying.

Anyway, I went with googone and fishing line and some elbow grease.

I always wondered if it takes people LONGER to type "that way" when they have to think about intentionally mis-spelling the most basic words, such as "that", "what", "are", "you", "anyone", etc. I know it'd take me twice as long than if I just spelled everything correctly.

LOL!!! I'm just kidding guyzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.................

But seriously 3M is probably your best bet!

Nope I used goo gone GEL for mine... takes a little longer but the gel doesn't run everywhere!

And the 3m Adhesive remover is the best stuff I have used!

And this is a forum, lets stop the e-thugging, discrimination, and any sort bullshit like that!

But please for the love of all that is holy... LEARN HOW TO TYPE/ SPEAK in proper English, thank you!

When I removed my badging, I didn't have to use goo-gone. I guess the reason is because it was 37 Degrees that day . The adhesive just came right off w/ nothing left behind.

And also because your car is brand new as well... the quicker you do it the easier it is to remove!

I took all my badges off except for the SS's on the door within the first week I had the car!

Took the SS's off about 3 months ago, they were a pain in my ass!
