Rebuild lsj or buy low mileage lnf

My lsj is at 200k. I want to either go tvs or turbo but the miles are starting to scare me. I would want to do a engine and trans rebuild before i do any more mods. And i also need both quarter panels repainted due to some dents which i fixed myself but need a good paint match. Knowing that all thats not goin to be cheap i was thinking maybe i should just buy an lnf with around 50k on it and mod that. Id only want to get in the high 300s for hp and tq. What do u guys think?

I personally prefer the LNF over an LSJ and I am prob over 350whp fully bolted meth and a bigwheel turbo that I got for cheap. The questions are: how much are you gonna get for your LSJ? does it need anymore work after you do a build to 350ish hp as in brakes suspension ect.

It is also my belief that you can do 350whp with a TVS but it's way easier to do with a LNF.

My car has the RPD, USB and seat I like more

350 WHP is possibly on the TVS but you're going to need E85

I would hope to get at least $4k for my car. All i have done to it now is intake, exhaust, gms2, rotated mounts, and short throw. Im leaning towards an lnf just so i can start fresh.

If you did stick with the LSJ you would need a lot of cooling mods to hit your goal not to mention head work cams and E. It is way easier on the LNF

Well if the lsj us paid off it would make more sense financially to keep it. But who doesn't want an lnf?

Pull out the mounts and short throw to sell on here.
Probably $4k if it is clean.
$2k-$3k if it needs work.
List it on CL and see what offers you get.

5-6k would get me what? A know i can get a new bottom end from zzp for around 2k and can get my head rebuild and ported for around 1k. Should i be worried about the tranny? No grinds or anything so far

Then you need to buy all of your turbo parts. Even used or piecing it together youll spend another 3k.
