recaro seats comfort

I factory ordered my ss s/c without ever test driving one. So i'm going by all the input on this site and its quite clear that you guys and girls love your car. I was wondering what kind of feed back you all have on the recaro seats i ordered my car with the recaro sport package so i could get the limited slip front diff. and now i'm a little concerned about the comfort of the seats. Any feedback you guys have at all would be nice.

Thank you
Melissa

Simply put if you are an average to smaller person (around the middle), they are fine. Otherwise....well....

But I'm sure you are not grossly obese. No offense to anyone, stating facts.

True that, I dont look 210 IM about 6'1. Still my GF weighs about 115 and she thinks they are uncomfortable atleast compared to my SE-R, I think they are more comfortable, go figure.

I'm short (5'2") and I'd say medium/athletic build female and I'd say they're uncomfortable as hell. The side support got in the way when I was shifting and they just in general were very uncomfortable for me. I could not imagine making long trips in them, but thank god they were just on the car I test drove.

For you it will depend on your personal preference when it comes to seats. You may love them, you may hate them, but as you've already seen if you don't like them there are tons of people who will trade with you for them.

I personally like the leather seats, mainly because I'm highly symmetrical when it comes to colors.

Most women who state their weight are lying . I figured build would be more helpful anyway, cause someone with a narrower build might be more comfortable in the seats too.

I only have gone for a short spin in the Recaros, but damn they are nice.

I'm a small, skinny guy. 5'8 and 130lbs. I didn't want to get out of them.

Welcome to the site. They felt comfortable to me, but I only sat in them for a minute or 2. You will like them if you like to sit down into a seat and have it wrap around you.

Maybe it was the adjustment, but they seemed to sit lower than the regular SS seats. That is the only part that bugged me, but I didn't mess with it, there were other people waiting to look at the car.

EDIT: I'm about 6' and around 150 lbs. (haven't checked in a while)

well in the RL you can also adjust the height of the seat with a lever on the side that will raise and lower the seat which i find a great way to get that position correctly adjusted

I'm 5'9'' and 140lbs. and I love the way the Recaro's hug me. I drove over a 1000 miles from South Carolina to New Hampshire (stops only for gas), and they were quite comfy to me.

Actually, no. My hips are sorta wide, but mostly I've got broad shoulders (which actually come in handy, since I play hockey).

she's not big by any sense of the word.....not that I've seen her in person.

I love my recardo's I mean recaros...I'm 5'11", 190 and they fit me perfectly... I like the support they give. I'm going to put 500+ miles in them tomorrow. That'll be the true test.

Athletic!!! *wakes up*

Man, I wish the sedans had Recaro's My standard cloth seats are uncomfortable for any length of time.

I protest that this website get a drool emoteicon! goto nvnews.net and see the icons they have!
