Redline Vs SS SC

So yea...almost same setup...cept engine placement.

I know the basics...I think cobalt looks better...the cobalt has a little more power stock...but is the cobalt going to be more focused on, am I right?

Even though same engine...Will the intense sates work with the Redline?

Im only asking because which one will save me more...but Like i said..the redline...I dont see much out for them...even past years....

alright. i know hahn is workin on the new redlines...

RL is a lil more safe..i love the 4 door 2 door hinges...i think it looks nice. I DONT like the headlights that much....I like the offset speedometer n all...less power outta same engine as cobalt.................

Cobalt has good headlights, nice body and moldings, nice wing...but view blocking...more mods will be out...a few more bucks...insurance I dont know yet...callin em soon. I like the 18s on the cobalts way more

Heard bout the rotarys being worn down a lil or w/e...one of the posts i read

Its all a matter of preference. I got the RL becauses it reasonably cheaper and i got a baby so the back doors work out great. As far as power goes, im not so sure about that one. I ran a 14.4 stock which is about even with most stock Cobalts when they run perfect. The boost gauge is in a better place on the cobalt than on my car. Instrument panel is nicer on the cobalts. Seats are the same. Like i said, it all a matter of preference.

well whats the difference with the Redline then? They dyno more than that stock also. I think they are botch rated that low for insurance reasons.

Rl

The Redline ran through a slalom course quicker than the Cobalt in magazine testing. The 1/4 mile was the same.

The guages are flipping retarded. Wouldnt drive a saturn just because of that fact.. In the middle looks soo stupid.. Maybe its because I first saw them on Echo's or whatever.. But just doesnt do it for me.. IMO putting them in the center is kinda bold. Cuz either people love it or hate it i would assume

I personally LOVE the ion redline. I say get one of those because you will save tons of money on it.

But if you are on the daring side and want to be consistantly faster grab an SS!

I agree, Ive never understood that. (gages in the middle?) but it's a matter of preference.

It's just my opinion but a massive speedo for the passenger would be sick! (just to freak them out) especially in a supercar like a buggati veyron or saleen S7. haha

The cars engines are the same... same hp stock the saturn i think i a little heavier than the cobalt. Honestly it was between these to cars for me.. I really love the design of the Redline.. The gauges are and aquired taste but i LOVE the set up. For the same set up between the 2 vehicles the saturn is about 2k cheaper. I ended up going with the cobalt becuz i got a VERY good deal on my car.

If your looking for cosmetic mods then the Cobalt it the way to go.. Saturns are nice but hell.. they are gonna be behind everyone as far ad body kits and things being made for them... so it coudl get frustrating waiting for things like fender kits, hoods, different body kits.

Really its up to you which one u like... I would hve been cool with the Ion.. but I love my cobalt

They are the same damn car. I have a cobalt my brother has a redline. As far as speeds its all on driver, I dont think there is any difference between the 2.

REDLINE Pro's:
Cheaper, made of plastic, fast for the money.

REDLINE Con's
Its a saturn, dont like the gauge placement, feels cheaper inside then a cobalt, no 18's, no hydrolic struts in engine bay.

Cobalt Pro's
18's, looks better, chevy > saturn, lots of attention in the mod community and by GM.

Cobalt Con's
more expensive, uh thats all I can think of.

Get whatever fits you and your budget best.

If you are looking for a little more reliability and safety I'd say get the chevy.
If you are gonna be carting people around all the time the saturn could be beneficial.

It also comes to this. I've seen three cobalt SC'ed around where I live.
I've only seen one Redline around here and when I did it left an impression.
