Removing stock pulley

How the hell do you remove the stock pulley from the M62?? I tried a pulley puller and all it did was bend the bolts on the clamps.

You'll need one of these:

Another question, when I remove the stock pulley, will I be able to bolt on a 4 bolt pulley or will I need something else to bolt the pulley on to?

You just press on the new pulley hub, then the new pulley bolts to the hub. There are some how-to's on the site such as:

gotta press it off, and press it on. go to a dealership or shop and ask someone to do it over their lunch break or after hours. can prolly get it done for a lot less, or a 12 pack..

If you don't have the correct puller (like ZZP's) a press is gunna be the best way. People try and use all different types of pullers and usually bend **** . I pressed mine off in 2 minutes...... just have to have the right tools for the job. IIRC ZZP rent's a puller for like 30 bucks or something like that .

Puller.......hit the option box for rental options

Then I'd still need to figure out how to get the new pulley on with a new hub and all that crap.

The zzp puller removes old pully and can install new hub. It should come with instructions.

Very simple comes with all the instructions required to do so if you rent one from ZZP takes some muscle but its not too hard.
