Replacement hurst knobs?

Replacement hurst knobs?

The previous owner scratched my shift knob to ****, I don't know how... where can I get a replacement?

You might try polishing it, get some 2000grit sand paper and gently wet sand the knob, then take some mother's mag polish and a foam application pad and start polishing.

If the scratches catch your finger nail then you'll need to wet sand till they dont.

the hurst knob is anodized, wet sanding and polishing will end up stripping the anodizing off, along with the shift pattern markings.

my hurst knob is all scratched up as well, its just from normal use.

find out what the thread pattern is and then go from there. you should be able to find just about any knob then.

the knob is undercut and goes inside the reverse lockout sleeve. basicly the knob is an integral part of the design of the hurst shifter and cant be swapped for a universal one.

no, if you use the search function you will find more discussions on this subject. the hurst is different than any other shifter that is made for the cobalt. mine is scratched to hell aswell, usually from me hitting it with the seat belt as i pull it over.
