replacing my shift knob ?

i have a twm piston shift knob

Chevrolet Cobalt SS/SC RL (reverse lock) Shift Knobs & Gear Knobs by TWM Performance

it seems to just screw and unscrew. could i just buy another maybe universal knob that screws? or would i have to replace the whole thing? The knob came with the car and it's not bad, just being metal burns the mother **** out of my hand while driving in the summer. I'm not looking for anything too expensive, definitely less pricey than this one. Any recommendations?

The stock knob does not unscrew. It pulls off really freakin hard unless you had the TSB done with the screw under the cap. Buy my B&M short shifter for $50 shipped and send me your stocker and you'll have a new shift knob AND a short throw!

you sir fail at reading, he already has a short throw.

as for OP you can switch it out with any other TWM shift *** or you could always make your own if you found the right size thread and all. i dont think any other shift **** will work though, but i could very well be wrong about that. i had a hacky sack covering over mine to keep it not as hot in the summer.

You could always sell the knob you have now and replace it with the Phantom from TWM. It's far more tolerant to heat and cold
