Do the regular cobalts and LS cobalts have reverse lock-out on their transmissions like the cavy's/sunfires/aleros/grand ams did?

I am asking because when I picked up my SS I thought for sure my car would have reverse lock-out being the Getrag tranny and all, but alas there isn't!

It's also one hell of a pretty shift knob.

 

Weird, must be a different shifter than the SS/SC cause ours has reverse lockout.

 

The SS/SC does not share the same tranny as the the LS and base (getrag). The LS and base do not have the lockout to my knoledge.

He was talking about the 2.4 SS, though. I knew the LS and base were different, but I didn't know which tranny they'd go with for the SS N/A

 

i think that the non S/C has a different tranny, the chevy website says so, so it won't have the lockout that the S/C saab tranny has on it

 

I know I don't have the SS S/C tranny. What I was saying is, that Cavaliers, sunfires, aleros and grnad ams all had reverse lock out with the same tranny my SS 2.4L has, I just found it weird.
