the right exhaust help

Question the right exhaust help

i been looking and checking out exhaust around my hood and what i wanna know is this a good exhaust and deal i called a couple shop and there charge 300 for a 3inch catback magnaflow exhaust and 270 for a 2 1/2 inch my question is should i go a diffferent way or is that a good exhaust and deal or what would be a good exhaust and whats a good price

That sounds a bit cheap. IIRC, Magnaflow exhaust retails around $700 or so.

What he is probably saying is that the exhaust shop will put on a 3" exhaust with a magnaflow muffler. If not, thats one stupid shop for charging half price.

make sure to get a large resonator if you go 3", it will be obnoxious loud, that's about the average price for a custom crush bent setup. 120 or so for the muffler, the rest piping and labor.

It's going to be aluminized steel...bad news.

Does it ever get obnoxiously loud, or will it draw too much attention? I'm considering it, but I don't want it to be annoying.

If you're in the gas all the time yes it's going to be very loud. If you're cruising or you don't have your foot on the floor the entire time it's not bad. It has a deep tone and it's not raspy at all. I love the pops it makes when I'm decelerating. It definitely turns heads when you want it to.

i wouldn't go with a 3" if you're looking to keep it quiet, and i also wouldn't go with a 3" unless you have some big power plans.
