SC vs TC

Which car do u guys think is better. We all know the TC has more power, but overall which one is better. Iv raced a stage 2 SC and we were neck to neck until we reached over 100mph, and i started to pull on him.

So what will it be, Instant power (SC) or More power (TC)?

Also do u prefer Coupes or Sedans?

High Wings, Low Wings or No Spoiler at all?

If you have a SC, would you rather Upgrade it to a turbo, or buy another car with a turbo?

Does anyone think the Solstice GXP can Kill the Cobalt TC?

I have owned both and although I loved my sc, I would never go back. Hands down theres a better driving experience to be had in the TC. Once we start talking TVS and moderate modifications though on the sc, all bets are off..

I paid less for my fully loaded TC as well.... got way better bang for buck.

I prefer coupes. I honestly think in comparison that:
S/C<T/C Simply because a turbo is more power efficient. But the difference is marginal. Like you stated, the supercharger provides instant boost, but also is bad on heat soak, and the blower itself is parasitic to the engine (belt driven)...whereas the turbo is exhaust (pressure) driven. So the t/c has my vote for more potential and like I said is very marginal when comparing which is a better car.

Agreed. SS/TC > SS/SC.

Although for those that think that the superchager gets a lot better low end torque vs the turbo, it's not even noticeable...

I like that the sc has the options for leather, heated seats, and polished aluminum wheels whereas the tc doesn't. as far as more power, we've seen the numbers and can't argue with them. i still like the howl of the blower better as far as sound. but i think when it comes to mod support superchargedss said it best, the tc fights a losing battle. in the end i wouldn't pay much more for an ss/sc after i had sold the superchager stuff and added the hahn turbo stuff than if i just bought a tc outright. and an lsj with the stage 5 hahn is nothing to joke about.

Stop making these pointless threads about how you want to nut hug the TC and prove its 'superiority' vs the SC. Your car is faster, brakes better, will eventually have better stage kits, and seems to be a ferrari in comparison to the SC. Jesus christ.

There is one of the many threads you could have posted in instead of making numerous threads about it.

Certain States it would be cause of emissions, Maybe not yours in particular.

A Stage 3 turbo from Synapse is 371whp 383wtq itself.
hahns 360hp kits hmmmm......... i would prefer Synapse

I love my SS/SC and would never trade it for a SS/TC. Don't get me wrong the SS/TC is a fantastic car, and I love how it dominates all other sport compacts in its class, but the SS/SC is unique because every 4 banger out there is turbo anymore. The sound of the the blower is amazing, and the instant boost is a plus. There is a lot you can do with the lsj as long as you have the time for tuning and a fat enough wallet. To each his own though.

Just to answer this question

1. I started modding to be different. I hate over hyped cars and the usual *turbo this, turbo that* that EVERYONE does. That's what drew me to the ss/sc. And many douche bags were kept away from it because it didn't have a snail...now...not so much anymore. Douche bags with superiority complexes galore.

Coupe

I would HATE to upgrade to a turbo, but it seems like in this community and in the tuning community in general, you get no respect for not having a turbo.

PS you sound like you made this thread simply to bag on the SC's....grow up.

PS thats 5/5 times my point has been made today

And you're obviously one of those people who loves dyno queens. You want the biggest numbers without thinking about the car in general. I love this.

I respect the SC, if i could have both i would. The SC is unique in alot of ways and i love the sound on the SC and the instant power, thats one thing i hate about the TC. Without a blow-off valve its barely noticeable. And the lag sucks, But a few mods can take care of that. Attacking me for making this thread...who needs to grow up. I never said the SC Sucks ass, if i did then u could attack me

And numbers dont win a race, Which matters to me, but im more for the appearance of the car. Customizing is my thing. So stop being an ass

what lag? you make the bulk of your torque at 2K rpm. thats no lag at all.

Read your 1st post out loud. It sounds incredibly cocky and like you're setting your car and turbos on a pedestal. You do. A simple search could have shown you how many times this topic has been hashed.

I drive it everyday, theres a lag. boost may kick in at 2k but it takes time to get at full boost. If im racing a SC and its only from light to light, he might get me, because i need that extra time to get up to full boost

And how co i sound cocky, I use to own an SC and Love that thing to death and still miss it. Its obvious that the TC is more powerful, but like i said WHICH CAR IS BETTER overall. Who gives a S*** about power.
Like i said im into customizing the appearance.

With instant boost, you get torque issues. The TC has alleviated all of that with ECU controlled launch control, and the torque not jumping in like it does with the SC. All the SC would do it spin for the most part, while you'd squat, and be gone, then make your boost and continue to walk.

and re read the post above, I edited it.

tc does have lag. i notice during 40 rolls if he doesnt brake boost or not.

TC fixes alot of the b.s. the SCs have. Overall tc is a better car. Not like the dsms where they kept making things worse with each new gen.

I'm not jealous, I don't want a TC, I'm just tired of coming here to douche bags like you and a few other people who ruined this community for me and a bunch of other people.

It gets increasingly hard to enjoy my car when I'm constantly being told my car is 'inferior'.

So good sir, you may go to hell.

Does it really matter what people say, you know your car and you love your car. And that should be it. These forums are suppose to be friendly discussions not a hating frenzy. Ignorant people arnt wanted on CoballtSS.net
