And I would have to disagree about garaging a modified Cobalt. Like has been said, modifying your Cobalt is not an investment. The only Cobalt worth putting in the garage and not driving would be a ultra-low mileage mint condition stock Cobalt SS. These cars are meant for driving and that is the only way to get REAL value out of them. 12k into a toy is not really that crazy at all.
Unless you're doing a built motor with a big Turbo, then there's no way in hell you can get that much into parts unless you're getting ripped off.

You can modify more than just the engine on these cars. I'm not sure what point you are trying to prove other than you think OP spent too much on his car. Why do you care what he spent?

I want to know what kind of upgrades amount to 12 grand. I'm well aware of what can and can't be modified on these cars. The OP took the time to create a thread about how much money he spent on modifying his car, so I'm going to ask.
