Seatbelt Question/Headrest

Okay, I checked the manual and didn't see anything about this.

Is there a way to remove the headrest from my 07 Cobalt LT? Or is there a way to easily remove those seatbelt loopthings that are like grey? I'm not sure what their called.

yea, lift your head rest all the way up. then on the opposite leg as the button you will see a hole in the base. take either a real thin screwdriver and stick it in there to push the button (or you can just lift the plastic and reveal the button to push with your finger). push both sides in and slide the head rest up and it will be free.

You then need to snap the small thing metal washer type things to release the seat belt holder. once those are removed you can slide the piece right off.

here is a how to:

Ahhh thanks a ton man. I just got these seat covers today since I didn't like the stock cloth and they wouldn't fit because of that. Thank's again.

Don't forget to put your headrest back on after you install the seat cover - I wouldn't recommend not using a headrest at all for anyone anytime ever. Imagine if you were in a TC and ended up getting some serious backwards whiplash?

Your neck would snap backwards - and break.

he isn't removing the head rest permanently, just removing it so that he can remove the seat belt holder. front head rests are a necessity... the back ones on the other hand...

Haha, yeah I made sure to put the headrest back on. I just couldn't get my seat covers on with those damn seatbelt holder things on there.
