There is a sticker on the driver side door. At least there was on mine. I'll take a pic of it when I get home today.

I just thought I would post a reply of what they did. The tech took off the old timing set and just by looking at it it looked fine. With the new one one, I cant hear that knocking/rattling noise any more.

Oh, while he had it torn down, I let him install my GMPP exhaust manifold for me.(free of course )

Sorry for the late response. Yours was built after the bulletin calls for. Your build date is 4/10/07.

I guess it looks like I'm taking this to my boss so I can get things ordered. Warranty FTW! Having to do it yourself for cheap FTL!

is there a TSB number on this? I tryed taking it to the dealership but they wont do anything because of the motormounts and transmounts. Will GM give the information to me or does a dealership have to call?

Mine was made 4/16/06 and has been making that sound since 3k on the od...

here is a vid, you cant really hear it thanks to the wind and CAB mod but when I am looking down at the stock header it seems loudest: http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...Walkaround.flv

The dealership HAS to call GM TAC. If they just look on dealerworld they wont find it. GM is hiding it so most people won't go into the dealership and demand theirs being fixed.

The bad thing is it fixed mine for a little while. Now it's doin it again. Same sound but not as loud.

GM has no idea on what it is. And since it's only every now and then and not all the time, they can't/ wont do much about it.

HaHa, do you know what I just thought of reading this. Maybe Mr. Andy Wise of the Memphis ABC news should read this and see what do when you actually, sincerely find a TSB no one knows about and want to help.

I think I might have this, I may say something when I take her in for inspection this weekend.

Yours is just before the dates on the TSB. Your build date is 3/21/06. Yours does have a recall/bulletin on your exhaust. If you ever had a SEL and a code P0420 you might can get your cat changed out

Ok, is this a danger to the motor?

If the problem was never fixed would there be any risk?
