Most of those body panels and stuff won't add up to 100 pounds, but would cost you thousands for CF.

You guys should start looking for things in the engine bay that can be pulled: AC, power steering, EGR, CAT, lighter cat back, misc. bolts/brackets. Sub/amp is a good one.

But personally I'd stay away from the CF body panels, they arn't worth the money.

you do know that we have eletric power steering right?

That car you are talking about is the Street Tuner Cobalt SS S/C. They also removed the back seats, a/c, stereo, speakers, headliner, carpeting, sound deadening, and more. They also added a roll cage and other racing goodies.

The CF roof could weaken the cars structural integritity, because the roof is a stressed member. The Cobalt is of uni-body construction, meaning the body acts as the frame. The roof is one of cross members connecting the two sides of the car and holding them in place.

This could be incorrect depending on how the CF roof was designed. Burt Rutan built the first non-government funded space ship (Space Ship One) entirely of a Carbon Composite material. Honeywell also used CF turbines for military jet engines.
