Right now I am a full Mobil "customer". I use their 93 gas, their 5W-30 fully synth oil and their oil filter, along with the Chevron fuel injectors cleaner as recommended on the service manual. The only reason why I was asking is because basically all the people I know were telling me to start using Shell V-Power gas. But if there is not a really good reason for it, I'll stick with what I've being doing I guess.

Nope at most shell station there is a program called frn (fuel rewards network)
You buy certain items in store and it puts 5,10,15 cents on the card and you can save up your cents and it takes it off of gas for a maximum of 20 gallons.
Now if you shop online like I do on best buy it puts a lot more on the card.
There are people paying $0.01 a gallon.
Go check the leader boards on fuelrewardsnetwork.com

With the 2 cars i own the G5 gets shell 93 octane. My cavalier would get. what ever gas station im near and thats cheap. The G5 never has a issue with water coming out of the muffler. The cavalier on the other hand I can leave a trail of water coming from the muffler. If i let it sit and warm out in the driveway i can have a pretty good size puddle under the car. Few times i have had water get into the injectors and had to run dry gas a few times. That's when i stopped using the **** stations.

There aren't too many Shells around the Metro Detroit area. It's most Mobil and BP for good gas. Marathon , Fast Track, etc for shitty gas.
BP is the anti-christ, so my car usually sees 93 from Mobil. I haven't been able to use Shell long enough to see a difference.
I do like that the Marathon's here sometimes carry Turbo Blue 108. Always tempted to pump some of it when I pass by.

I joined the program, it's legit and offered by Shell. They have relations with many stores (best buy, jcpenney, etc) and when you buy from them they add a discount to your card. Even buying some 4$ toothpaste with a coupon adds 5c/gallon discount lol
I guess it's only for a 1-time fill. But I mean, if you shop at those stores and go out to dinner often you could be saving 25-30 cents/gallon on average. They give you a 3 cent discount just for joining (every fill) only at Shell.
