Shift Cable clips comming loose...?
If anyone has the Ark short throw, I have some questions for you...
I installed my Ark short throw yesterday and when ever I do a hard shift from 1st to 2nd the grey plastic clip attached to the shift cable pops off and my car gets stuck in second gear, When this happens, I have to pull over, take the cup holder under the stereo out and re-attach the clip to the shift cable every time this happens. Its extremely annoying. I dunno if I need a new clip or if the gear box is shifting so fast that the clip just cant handle it? Any suggestions? I'll take some pics and a video tomorrow if you guys don't understand.
Also, I don't understand the the Ark shift knob at all. If I screw the shift knob all the way down on the threads of the short shifter, the top piece of the knob with the Ark logo pops right off, it doesn't make any sense at all to me. Do I have to drill and thread the top piece of the knob with the Ark logo or what? I'll also take some pics of this tomorrow.

I recently put on a Hurst STS. Are you clipping the grey part all the way down? It has 3 clip positions, all the way shut, one click open, and fully open. I had to squeeze really hard to get mine shut all the way. You could also pull the center console out and shift while trying to watch the clip, and you could see what is happening.
I doubt that clip costs a lot so you could always get a new one if you think it's shot.

I for sure have it clipped all the way down. So that eliminates one suggestion.
I'm thinking im guna have to get a couple zip ties and tie them around it tightly so it doesnt un clip any more.
