shiting handle

i have an automatic cobalt an i as wonderin if there was any way that i could change the color of it to match the car without really having to painting it. is it possible??

You could have a vinyl made and lay it over the plastic piece. That way you can remove it if you want/need to.

i prally shoulda specified that its not the whole shifter i wanna change, its the silver plastic piece i want to change the color of...

I took mine off taped it off wet sanded and put a couple coats of paint then a couple coats of clear and it turned out great

I should have been more specific..i took the whole shifter off then painted that piece down the center

Go to advance auto or auto zone they have gm color match..color you want is sunburst orange cost like 6 or 7 bucks for color match

Lol yea and to take the shifter off you need to pull the silver trim around the botom down and twist and there's a small allen wrench screw in the front facing the stereo unscrew and it will come off
