Short Shifter

Would i ruin anything if i took a dremel to my stock shifter just to make it shorter.

No, but the shifter would just be shorter. A true short shifter also changes the angle needed to make a shift.

I've also questioned this..

The stock one is super high and until I get a short throw I'll just have to deal with it, but I'd like to at least have my shifter just a bit smaller for the time being.
