Don't buy one! I just it to whatever length you want, I did 13" I believe. Take that good ole hacksaw/sawsall and cut that beast. Get some pliers and pop off that round ball on the top you cut off, watch it doesn't fly across the garage like mine did lol. Grind down the part that goes to the car just a little bit so the ball fits back on, it gets thicker as you go down. Bam, you got yourself a sweet looking shorty, for free! I got pics of mine, just not up close, let me know if you want to see them. You can't even tell I cut mine, looks 100% better.

Well whatever works. I like the look of the stock one, how it has that wire wrapped around it. My dad helped me do it. He said if it looks dumb its my fault lol. Good luck to whatever you get.

You have a 2005 it has a 6MM stud. Mid America motorworks has a perfect shorty available (for the corvette but fits the Cobalt perfectly) for about $20. I sent them an e-mail a month ago asking them if they could start making their shorty with a 7 MM end -- maybe if enough people send them an inquiry they would make it.

Or you can go to the dealer and order a new antenna for about $20-25 and cut that one down.

CAREFUL HERE! We have found that corrosion or crossthreading by the factory makes it a BEAR to get the antenna off. If your antenna doesn't come off with a wrench easily DO NOT try to turn it with brute force -- you will spin the entire assy and break the pinch welds off the mount bracket. You need to secure the assy (hold it inside the trunk) before unscrewing the antenna if you're one of the unlucky ones!
