should I?!?!

I recently traded in my 07 ss/sc for an 08.5 vw gti and ive been contemplating trading it on a used 06-07 ss/sc. the only thing thats stopping me is that i owe 32k on the gti from rollover on the cobalt. if i can find a cobalt for 15k and rollover 10k bc there giving me 21k i would owe 25k and possibly lower my payments depending on interest rates and if i can get a loan for that much on a used car. would u guys do this?

Didn't you say you own 32K on the GTI? You will have negative from the Cobalt and GTI.

Why did you get rid of the SS/SC to begin with?

Yeah, but a "8.5" will have a lower APR than an 06-07.

Get ahead of the game before trading again. You will end up with negative equity, even if you get a cheaper car.

You basically end up throwing away ~10k or so, because you had a 07 SS/SC, traded it for a new 08 GTi (so you had negative equity from the balt), then you end up trading the 08 GTi for a 06 SS/SC.

Unless you have a decent down payment the banks are going to raise an eye at giving out 26K for a used 15K dollar car, especially right now with the way the economy is going. Look at it this way , next year the cobalt will be worth 10-11K and the VW 19-20K , VW's hold their value much better so while saving a few grand in total debt might leave you in a worse position with the value differences between the two cars in the future.

i would get ahead on your payments first.. our cars dont hold vaule very long. plus youd be paying way to much for the cobalt. if you could sell it (GTI) private and get more for it then maybe just think about it tho.. dont trap yourself bc of a car.

Stay away from that silver SS/SC! I think I looked at it and was NOT impressed. The interior was far too ugly as well.

There's a silver SS/SC (different one) in hatboro, pa at jarrett dodge.
