Too small of a wire gauge, too big of a fuse

pretty much what Josh has said, go down in fuse size. Also check ground spots and make sure you have a good ground and your not shorting to ground.

Fuse size was 10 my boost gauge was sent in to aem to get replaced so i taped up the wires to reuse them when i got my new one so there was no power rven to that wire could it have still grounded out and csused that

You taped up the wires? So they were still connected to power. If the power wire grounded out, it can arc and cause a lot of heat, lighting the wire on fire

You have a short to ground on the gauge wire. A smaller fuse would have blown first and kept the wire from burning up.

You should have pulled the fuse when you disconnected the boost gauge....
