Heres the deally I went to the dealer the other day to get pricing on ordering an 07 just like I want it and the G85 was listed as as 795.00 Limited Slip Differential no mention of the recaros

However a few lines above that listed the seat choices and one of them was listed as 0.00 G85 didnt see what all was listed but the dealer guy said that the recaros were still a part of the G85, he said sometimes when they are trying to get rid of something these kinda things are done

Im kinda stuck I really really want the recaros and if im going to the trouble of special ordering the car I want them, another option is they have an 06 leftover with them but its yellow, not that its not nice but id rather have silver

 

I've heard that they was getting rid of the recaro seating. For me, I wish they had the choice of the G85 without recaro. My wife didn't like the looks of the recaro because you couldn't get the 2 tone interior with the recaro seating and she wanted red inserts.

There are some 07's with recaro included. They didn't stop the recaro until last month or so.

 

from what i've heard the recaros are going to be gone.... so if u can get them i would... there awesome!!! and if you plan on putting a stage kit on then u might be better off with the 06 cuz i believe they have to do a different program on the 07's...so u might have to wait a little.... but i'm not sure... last i heard was they were trying to work out the bugs still. but yeah recaros + lsd= sweet

 

yea i would have loved to have the toned interior if i wasnt going with silver black should be just fine

im not going to be fooling with the engine or anything else on it for quite some time

The Recaro's are no longer available in the G85 package . Only 2007 SS/SC's built up to Sept 21st got the Recaro's with G85 . The SS was the only model left to not have the passenger airbag sensor in the passenger seat ....all SS/SC's built after Sept have this sensor now . GM stated the Recaro's did not meet a upcoming saftely standard , ....while they didnt actually give a exact reason ....you can bet the sensor was not compatible with the Recaro's . The 2008 model will most likely get a new performance seat again that meets the required safety standard .

 

I see you're in Harrisburg... Don't listen to the Sutliff guys... they can find you a leftover Silver 06. They can simply do a dealer trade with that yellow one.

The Recaro code is still there but if you read the description it says that it is no longer an orderable option.

if it dont have the recaros ill just have to trade with someone that does, theres enough ppl on here im sure someone is willing to part with them

At the dealer where I got my 06 they recieived a 07 in the new red color. It has the g85 and also the recaros. IMO there just may be less recaro packages issues. My dealer told me you can still get the recaros...good luck

 

Keep in mind, your oringinal VIN # will always tell what options came from factory. This means if you order the one with Recaros or buy one with them already your car will be worth more cash in the long run. Would be cool to hang on to one of these and just store it. Maybe one day it will bring cash at a barret jackson auction 30 years from now. lol dreams...

 

That car must have been built before sept 21st . The 2007's built b4 then DID have Recaro's . G85 is just the differential now....and the price has been adjusted to $795 as compared to the $1500 price with the Recaro's . All SS's built after 9/21 now have heated seats standard .

 

In Canada the 07 model is only available with the LSD , no more Recaros unless there were a few made earlier that were sold. At the dealer and on the web site it says only the LSD is available. I think that the LSD should come standard on a car with so much power!

Thanks for the info. That is very important. IMO 2006 has the best options and stuff, I like the 2006s best. Thats some good info you posted there, have not seen that before.

Would of been nice to have heated sits though.
