Somebody with SS, how's the exhaust?

I'm just wonderin' how the exhaust sounds on these things when you give it some gas. I hope it's something like the srt-4, those things sound mean.

If you go to www.tremek.com and look under the gm videos, there's a clip of a ion redline racing a Z28 and an M3. It's two roll racing (gay!) runs on the expressway but you can still hear the exhaust and supercharger very well in both runs.

check it out!

Here's the link I believe Yippiskip is referring to. It takes a bit to load up (at least on my computer) but it does work. If for some reason it doesn't, just let me know.

By the way, I'm new here so i hope I did this right. If not then I apologize. I've been reading posts on this forum for a little while now trying to decide between a Cobalt SS/SC or a Scion tc. Any advice on this? I would appreciate any advice or input you may have.

Thanks

Ion Redline

Lou92 i would suggest the cobalt ss/sc, i know you may have to wait for it, but in the long run you'll be more satisfied with the ss than the scion. also i am partial to the chevy's since i am a skilled tradesmen for them, and the more foreign cars people buy the harder it is for me to keep my job. so the more american cars made and bought in the USA the better off we will all be. anyone else agree???

Believe Union Buy American

Thanks for the help. It's not even the time wait since I won't be getting one until late this year around Oct or so. I'm just comparing the price, options, and performance of the 2 and I must say I'm leaning towards the Cobalt SS/SC. Anyway, I know this isn't the thread to discuss this but thanks again for the response.

sounds good, like the sound of the supercharger whining up.

but what kind of lame race is that. what are the racing from and to? anyone know or is it some punk import thing that i am too old to get (and i am not even 30 yet? what happened to back road drags?) not too much sarcasm there, i really am curious... :P

Sorry I didnt give real specifics on the video.

I didnt really want the video for anything but the sound. The s/c is pretty clear in the second run (if you wanna call it a run).

I dont get why people really do that on open roads either. I live out in the sticks and their in plenty of places out here where the roads are plenty wide and nothing public (like other people/cars).

Who knows if the guy in the Z28 was even getting into it (its a convertible, and we all know ragtops weigh more cause of the hydralics or motor or whatever, not to mention the frame giving less rigid response)

but still, for those of you like me who cant have a cobalt till september probabley.....
it's f-in great to hear that engine.

06' anyone?
