Have any of you Ion owners ever seen one of these? I have two of them, got them years ago. I wish they woulda made a Cobalt like this.

I've seen them, but can't find one in silver.

 

That's becuase they only came in blue.

I've got close to 10 of them.

 

holw the **** do they make one for the ion and not the cobalt!!

 

Because 05redline above bought them out -- all ten of them It's all about marketing, if they knew they'd sell well they'd make them. a few people on this site that want them aren't enough to go into mass production.

 

im pretty sure we ALL want one.

 

This has been around before....several of us sent e-mails to the company that made the initial run of Cobalt models. They never responded or made any more.

 

I meet the Hotwheels PR chick afew months back and kept tell her all day that they better make a SS/TC Hotwheels car.

...Only time will tell but if it comes out Im taking all the credit



Also, I emailed about 5 different diecast model car companys in the past and none had the Cobalt as a future car to produce...but that was a while back now.

Im glad I picked up one of these ultra rare SS Balt models a few years back...I added a few mods to it (Painted it black, lowered it, deleted the rear wing and debadged it)

 

how did the picture of her come out so clear and the rest so blurry?

 

She was moving really fast around a half circle... So I stood in the middel of it and just moved the camera at the same speed of her....also the shutter was open for a few sec too.

It took about 5 tries to get it to turn out so well.

 

anybody have one of those models, and maybe willing to sell????

I have close to 10 of the blue ions, got them at some college football game i went to where they had ions displayed when they first came out.

 

Actually, this Hotwheel car is just a regular Ion, not an Ion Redline (although it does have the Redline wheels). They handed these out at a car show as a PR move. This was when the Ion was first being introduced, back what 2003? The Cobalt based on the Ion, came out after. Mainly it was a PR thing just to ring in the new Saturn Ion, not to ring in the Redline. I have one myself and am willing to also part with it.

 

No it doesn't. They're just a split design 5-spoke.
